DL 1555 ATL-LAX - Does it always leave late?

So I have a trip TPA-ATL-LAX coming up in two weeks. From looking at Flight Aware (DL1555 is DAL 201 on Flight Aware; weird) the flight always leaves later than the scheduled 8:30am time. It's averaging a 10:04am departure time. For anyone that flies this route, is this the new normal?

I ask bc my TPA-ATL DL 1872 leg is scheduled to leave at 6:15am but that flight never leaves on time. I just don't want to miss the connection in ATL.

IMHO, you have little cause to worry. There are lots of TPA-ATL flights and many ATL-LAX, plus connections TPA-xxx-LAX through other hubs.

DL201 is scheduled to leave Atlanta at 9:44 and the times on Flightaware are usually time of takeoff so 20 minutes of taxi time sounds about right

It also appears that effective April 10 Delta changes the ATL-LAX schedule. The 8:15 767-300 flight (1173) moves to 8:30 and is downgraded to a 75X (as flight 1555). DL201 swaps to DL1655 leaving at roughly the same time but the aircraft is changed from a 757 to a 767-300
