I don't take reply #57 to be necessarily applicable or accurate as I have no idea if that segment is a "delta one" flight as mine is definitely not.

It does not have to be a Delta One flight. International (excluding Caribbean) "Skyteam Premium Cabin" tickets also qualify (see below). DL is a Skyteam member and F tickets to Canada/Mexico/Central America are considered premium cabin tickets, so yes, they qualify.

Sounds like this is no longer the case? Have a DEN-JFK redeye in F tonight -- is it only D1 flights that qualify now?

Seems outdated to me -- Delta's Sky Club access policy on delta.com under "Transcontinental Delta One" applies to "[c]ustomers traveling on a nonstop Delta One ticket between JFK-LAX, JFK-SFO, DCA-LAX (starting 4/24), or BOS-SFO (starting 6/8)." Looks like you're fresh out of luck.

Yep, it was a no go -- looks like that was the old policy verbatim from the website, but it's now updated to what you posted above. The SkyClub agent at DEN confirmed the same and offered me a one-day pass for $29 since I'm a Delta Amex cardholder.

I ended up camping out in the desks just outside the SkyClub, which are communal airport space.

I totally misread the title to this thread. Took it as asking whether folks who look/act first class get SC access. As in, Hey! He looks like a real stand-up, first class kind of guy! He should be let in the SC to sample our wondrous array of fine cheeses and cookies and partake of our Jack Daniels and Colas!

Haha. Oops!

Super. So, I am flying MSP-ATL-CUN in a few days... I (along with one companion) are confirmed into FC on all legs. Companion #2 has no status, but I assume I can use my SkyTeamElitePlus to get him in as well???? (since my companion is a premium passenger on her own) I hope this works!!!

Premium cabin passengers on international flights (except Caribbean) get lounge access, so they do not need to rely on your Skyteam status.

Is CUN treated like Caribbean for this purpose?

also, I am very classy

when I flew to CUN in the spring (with only one companion), we had SkyClub access in MSP. Not counted as Caribbean. I'm just hedging on being able to bring in both guests since our medallion UGs are already confirmed.

Your upgraded companion will get SC access because of being in premium cabin. As ST Elite+ you and a companion will get access, regardless of cabin. So you can bring in the third person.

Nope, all Mexico destinations qualify for lounge access with DL. AA is more picky in that only MEX qualifies for lounge access when flying them.

IIRC this was once the rule for DL or PMNW. It's odd because CUN is clearly a leisure beach route and probably lower yielding than some (but not all) of the Caribbean routes.

Recently on a FC ticket to MEX, I had champagne and sandwiches in the U.S.-airport AF Salon as an international Sky Team premium passenger.
