You all know what it really is...PARS is coming back - they've decided DLTragic is just too tragic to continue putting resources against

Award Ticket and Mileage Upgrade Reissue and Redeposit will go from 72 to 120.

Also, waivers to the reissue and redeposit will go as follows:

Waiver 1: DL will redeposit your miles within 120 but you drop down a level of elite.

Waiver 2. The 2nd time, you drop down two levels of medallion status, and finally,

the 3rd waiver... you will never be anything more then a lifetime general member no matter how many MQM's you rack up.

That would be quite a seat count reduction per departure - ~142 to ~117 - but your suggestion is a lot more plausible than some other ideas advanced in this thread.

Oh but that would make the FT community so sad because it's not about them. All this wild speculation for nothing.

I think you're talking about. How about DL will acquisition more MD90 to come online. Maybe DL will acquires more MD90 by replacing MD88.

No way it's this. They are refurbishing the 744s right now which means they plan to use them for a good long time. And why shouldn't they? They're reliable birds and when refurbished will be pretty good inside.
