SkyTeam options: New York to Doha

Folks - I have to make a business trip ex-JFK to Doha in April next year. In this case, direct JFK-DOH in QSuites would make most sense....but, RT tickets are at a whopping ~$15k! I don't see any good ST options unless I fly Saudia via RUH.

Any advice?

If you want to fly QR might consider 2 tickets. JFK-LHR-JFK, LHR-DOH-LHR. Later should be under $4000.
Maybe options to LHR. I assume it is OPM if routing more important than cost.

For me this is still too much $$.

Added:
CDG-DOH-CDG is about $2500.

Thank you! Is CDG-DOH non-stop with AF...? I couldn't locate.

No real good options with SkyTeam. The Middle East as a whole is a no man's land for SkyTeam these days if you don't take Saudia

Your best quasi-SkyTeam option is Etihad because they are partners with AF/KLM now but there's no Delta or broader SkyTeam tie-in at the moment. Looks like those are pricing around $8k for April.

Your best (non-direct) option is OW (via LHR either going BA to BA or BA to QR) or on *A (via IST on TK the whole way)

CDG-DOH is non-stop with QR. Didn't you want the Q Suites?

sorry if I mis-lead you. As Duke787 stated Sky Team to mid east is no good from US. Even from AMS or CDG no non-stops. I would not transit via BEY.

You could do JFK-AMS-RUH on KLM then RUH-DOH (300 miles) on Saudia.

This was a fun experiment, but there are no good SkyTeam options. I was hoping for a Latam 5th freedom flight, but no luck.

You can go JFK-ICN-XMN-DOH and return DOH-RUH (26 hour layover!!)-JFK. Sure, it will probably cost the same as Qsuites and take longer, but you will have circled the globe!

Quick update: following my own logic, I decided to bite the bullet for JFK-DOH non-stop with Qatar Airways. The QSuites priced out for a ~$12k RT. Looking forward to this trip!
