2023 Upgrade Success (Or Lack Thereof) Thread

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet, I'll start us off.

1/9 DL 2884 RDU-MCO A-320 PM on a Q Fare: Cleared at Booking (~51 Hours Out)

Currently 100% (1/1) on the year.

Off to a pretty solid start:
1/14 DL366 BOS-SAN A321neo - PM on V fare cleared at window for 15/20 open seats - I bet even silvers will clear on this one lol
1/16 DL366 SAN-BOS A321neo - PM on T fare cleared at window for 9/20 open seats

100% (2/2) for the year - and of course still no pre-order on the 321neo

JFK-LAX: was able to use ruc to snag the last D1 seat that was ruc upgradable on the a330-900neo


Feb4
SFO-JFK: was able to use ruc to get D1 on the 767-300 with the refurbished but smaller D1 cabin, which Ive wanted to try for a while.



Flights are still just over three weeks away but a decent way to start 2023.

Booked on 12//13 for a 1/9 departure - cleared at booking into F with RUC
HNL-SLC-SFO
Booked on 12/13 - instant clear into D1/F with RUC

SFO-LAX-HNL
Used RUC for companion T-4 hrs before take off. T-fare (purchased T-18hrs). LAX-HNL instant cleared. SFO-LAX didn't clear as F was already sold out.

Used a RUC LAX-JFK for 11/41 for 3 with full C+? Heavens no. I rerouted LAX-DTW-LGA for confirmed OL.

DL4886 LGA-MEM on a CR9 yesterday (Saturday). PM Reserve with +1 on the same PNR using an Amex cert on a V fare.

There were 3/12 seats in F open when the CPU window opened and we ended up numbers 1 and 2 on the upgrade list with one seat open when upgrades were processed at the gate. I let +1 sit in 1A while I enjoyed the empty seat next to me in C+. I think there were a total of 25 of us on the plane.

RDU-BOS 23 Jan 1:30 pm flight - exactly 5 days out.
Maybe my only FC ug of the year as I drop from DM to PM on 1 Feb.

And - the D1 UG list for DL 380 LAX-DCA on 17 Jan was 39 people for 0 seats. I was confirmed for D1 as part of my award ticket from SYD.
Incidentally, looking at my MQDs for the trip -
Total miles price for SFO-LAX-SYD-LAX-DCA 670,000 miles.
Allocated as
SFO-LAX 12,900
LAX-SYD rt 569,400
LAX-DCA 87,700

General Skymiles member here with the Delta Reserve Card:

1/13/23 RSW-LAX via ATL No upgrades at bottom of both lists.
1/16/23 LAX-RSW via ATL. No upgrade on LAX to ATL leg of the trip. Upgraded to C+ with my daughter on ATL-RSW.

1/4 so far this year. I completely understand that I will always be at the bottom of the list with only the reserve card, but enjoyed the C+ seats.
