That would be very nice. We fly out there next week. We may stop in on our arrival and see what they tell us.

Okay gang. We dropped into the Sky Club on our arrival today, and we talked with Albert. Anyone who knows anything about the SFO Sky Club will know Albert.

He confirmed that the Sky Club will be moving airside, but it is scheduled for Spring of 2015 (not next year). First, the new air traffic control tower needs to be completed. Then Terminals 1 and 2 will be linked, and it is during that process that the Sky Club will move airside. But it is going to happen.^^^

One question regarding Pre-Check for anyone who has used it at SFO since it opened a couple weeks ago. We saw where it was today. I hope I am correct in assuming that if you have Pre-Check, then you just go through a metal detector--like at other airports--not one of the scanners--is that right?

Yes; PreCheck lanes are WBI-free.

Yes, that is right. It is true of every Pre security line I've used; I had assumed it was a mandatory part of implementing TSAPre.

Agreed, though a bigger SC would be nice.

I was pleasantly surprised when I left the SC about noon yesterday to head to my flight, feeling a bit rushed for time (as I lost track of time), and the TSA agent directed me to the pre-check lane. Empty line and got through in about 30 seconds followed by a short walk to gate 40.

My home airport (ROC) got mobile boarding passes and SFO that I visit regularly now has PC. It was a good week of travel.

Looks like CAK (Akron, OH) has it coming soon per Twitter...

@CAKairport: @jmertic Delta will have mobile boarding passes soon - in a few days and we will have #TSAPre starting the fall! #Comebacksoon

The Pre line at CAK should be pretty short as only UA, US and DL can use it. Now, if WN gets Pre, all bets are off.

TSA Pre-Check and Clear Coming to SJC

Just go an email this morning from SJC airport that they are getting Pre-Check and Clear. Great news for the frequent fliers like me who prefer SJC over SFO.

About time! Which terminal(s)?

Now, if only we could get GE too (yes, I know, a long shot for one ANA flight plus the odd Volaris bus)...

Still doesn't say which terminal but I assume Terminal A since it has most of the airlines.

Hey if PHX and PDX have GE, SJC will get it eventually.

Good news about PreCheck at SJC. They've needed it for a while now.

Thumbs up

Yeah!!!!

I thought that SJC would be much lower down on the list of airports to get Precheck. It's not exactly a busy place.

Also, the two terminals are connected behind security if you are willing to walk.
