767-300 or 777 ATL-LAX in Business
First transcon flight on DL have the choice of 767 vs 777 in Business elite. Any recommendations? Noticed that there was no wifi icon listed on the 777? Is that the case ? Thanks

The B777 (LR probably) blows away a B763 tenfold!
There is NOT any wifi on B777s, as they are intended for long haul int'l, which has no land based towers for an internet connection. Any domestic segments on a B777 are positioning flights. At LAX, this plane is likely to go onto SYD.

I think it all depends on which 767. Is it 767ER or domestic? If -ER, find out if that particular bird has the new Int'l BE seats. If it does have the new lie-flat BE seats IMO this is a better seat. The 777 BE seats are herringbone and if you are a window seat person, you have to crane your nect to see out the window.
If it is a domestic 767 then 777 all the way.

The 767 is a regular 767-300 (usually). It is a normal FC seat, and actually rather cramped as it is a 2-2-2 configuration. For comparison, economy is 2-3-2, so it only goes from 7 seats to 6 seats. Compare this to the 757s that run this route where Y is 3-3 and F is 2-2 (6 seats to 4 seats). In fact, with upgrades, I've seen F full on 763s while I've had more room in the middle aisle seat of Y with an empty seat next to me.
The 77L is indeed an international plane that does a domestic run between international flights. It does not have wi-fi, but has true herringbone flat-bed seating in J. The soft product is regular DL domestic F, but the hard product is fantastic.
If you can live without wifi, go for the 777.

They also run A330s on LAX-ATL; in Y that and the 767 are probably the best equipment for that flight segment. I am most often traveling alone and love the 2-3-2 (767) and 2-4-2 (A330) arrangement as it permits me to grab a window seat with only one person beside me. Both have AVOD.
I also like the 777 but find the A330 and 767 economy cabins more inviting due to their layout. If you're fortunate to get the first/business upgrade, definitely aim for the 777 The 767 is cramped and I find it a bit claustrophobic.

The 777 is likely continuing to Australia and is internationally configured - thus no wifi. The 767-300 is an older soft product, non-AVOD PTV's in BE (and I believe coach still has overhead screens) and they're the deep recline "sleeper seats" rather than the flatbeds on the 777. But then again you do have wifi....

I'll gladly trade anyone anyday who wants to swap their 777 seat in J for mine on the 737.

Forget the wifi and go with the 777 for this. No comparaison confort wise. Don't really want to add that the 777 i took a few days go was not the cleanest of planes, but if
we are just talking about confort ...
