DL.com DL vs KLM.com KLM biz seats
Why O'why must IT never work.
1 - look on KLM.com for low level biz seats GOT-AMS - check
2 - call KLM and ask about low level biz seats GOT-AMS - check ( 5 seats )
3 - call DELTA medallion desk - no seats.
4 - call back - next rep - 1 seat
5 - call back tell them KLM rep said 5 seats can you check with KLM - 1 seat
6 - call KLM back - yes we have 5 seats - call FLYING BLUE tomorrow for help
I love my airline. I hate their computers. Why can they not all just get along?

There might actually only be one seat open to delta/airfrance. Although AF bought KL, KL still operates as a separate entity and therefore protects its own elites. Not all seats seen on KLM.com is bookable through DL, but all seats seen on airfrance.us are. If you do a few comparative searches, you will find that KLM.com shows greater availability on KL operated flights than airfrance.us. Only those showing up on airfrance.us are guaranteed to be bookable using delta skymiles. This is one of the very few times when it is actually not a delta bug.

Not extra. Already booked. Reissue and put back in coach. Better service et al up front even on little hop.

btw - delta-tweet says they have tweeted it to KLM. now keep in mind, since this was booked at delta, they(klm-tweet) I would guess are going to tweet back to tweet to delta. uggg..... (at least that is what all the klm phone reps have said).
also, per delta tweet, the reissue was done by klm, on a delta ticket.... humm...

In my award searches I haven't found (more than a single) mismatch in award inventory between DL and Flying Blue on AF/KL-operated Classic inventory, but Flying Blue did introduce a Europe Classic award with higher mileage requirements. That is yet another booking inventory not available for SkyMiles redemption but when announced in early October it was for AF-operated flights only.

who has used - Service Recovery Department?
OK the tweet fun continues? So who has ever use:
Service Recovery Department?
I guess on a schedule change, more powerful than a medallion rep, a supervisor, or a red coat, is the SRD (Service Recovery Department!) They can overbook a KLM flight for you (has not happened yet).
Has anyone called them and how does it go?

Twitter pays off it would seem - (@DeltaAssist)
... not done yet but it looks like twitter is going to fix it (@DeltaAssist)
This is my first time with a twitter fix and I am 50% impressed. I had to tweet 10x times that, KLM says seats are there, KLM.com says seats are there, at long last @DeltaAssist also to says "yes you are right seats are there" we will fix it for you!?!
I still want to learn about this SRD department that can overbook KLM & AF flights! Humm.....

That is in theory true but not in practice. It's the same for flying blue members but not if you are a delta skymile member. klm.com shows different availability than airfrance.us. on KL operated flights, not AF operated flights.
