Herringbone seating?

I'm on DL 621 in J next week with my 4 year old daughter. I tried to request my boss to book us on United to avoid the herringbone seats but that didn't work. I currently have A and B on row 12. Will I be able to "see" the opposite seat? Thanks!

Yes, they are across the aisle from each other and "point" towards each other.

One thing that I noticed is that A is slightly forward of B so from the A seat you will have to look across and back (slightly) to see.

You may want to consider switching to the BC seats as there is a cutout that allows you to look over at the other seat (but since they are angled away from eachother you will have to turn your neck to look).

For the 777s, I prefer B-C seats when traveling together. I think it would be better for the OP.

I agree. That way the OP could at least reach over into her daughters seat if needed (recline buttons, IFE etc). Reaching across the aisle would be tough.
