Checking Baggage Through on a Later Flight
I wasn't sure how to title this thread, but here's my situation. In a few weeks I will be flying from San Francisco to Charlotte through MSP on two separate tickets. I get into MSP about 12:30 and leave for CLT about 3:00, which should be enough time to get my bag and recheck it and back through security.
For various reasons I had to book them as separate flights (SFO to MSP is actually a return, and MSP to CLT is a trip out).
My questions is, when I arrive at SFO, can I direct my baggage directly to CLT so I don't have to exit and reenter at MSP? Can I check in for my flight to CLT at MSP and have it directed that way? How do I approach this with Delta?
Thanks!
Cheers,
Pogopossum

When checking in, just let the Ticketing Agent know that you'll be flying on (have your itinerary # so they can pull it up.) Your bag can be checked through to your final destination.
