Redemption Help
Hi Guys,
I am trying to redeem a reward as follows:
LHR-CDG (overnight and more than 24 hours) -JFK (spend a week there) - CDG - LHR and it prices out at 100,000 for business all on Air France.
Problem comes when I insert a leg to Vegas on Delta and the price shoots up to 180,000. LHR-CDG-JFK-LAS-JFK-CDG-LHR
Is there any way of getting the second itinerary for the price of the 1st?
Is the best use of my miles or are there better ways to spend my 120,000 miles and more imaginative routings.
Thanks in advance guys

Adding LAS as the 'destination' - the turnaround point - leaves you with an itinerary that violates stopover/open jaw rules for round-trip awards. JFK-LAS-JFK in First (low award band) can be 45K and gives you another stopover to play with - think JFK-LAS <stopover> ANC-JFK.

Or what about doing purchasing a ticket from LHR to CDG, and then doing the award ticket as:
CDG - JFK (stopover) - LAS (destination) on the outbound, then just take whatever routing is available for 100k miles on the return trip to LHR?
A rev ticket JFK-LAS might be cheaper, and booking on AA or UA with BMI gold and BA gold offers some perks for the rev travel portion. With that you could do:
LHR - CDG (stopover) - JFK
purchase 1-way ticket JFK-LAS
LAS - "layover city" - LHR

Thanks guys.
Think I've settled on LHR-CDG-JFK / LAS-LHR
With a redemption of BA miles for the one way JFK-LAS (12,500 miles)

Good move. That is a great value for 12.5k miles plus $2.50.
This is a great example of why I "diversify" my miles. One way awards do have their uses!
