Passengers on F,A,G,R, and V fares will have to pay. Although it will be 15% off what coach pays. And PP, sorry, P fares get access free. :D

And here I thought the thread title telegraphed the OP's tone.

Seriously, though, I do wish that FAs would more consistently deploy the curtain between F and Y to discourage aft passengers from venturing forward.

Even when the curtain is deployed doesn't help. It would be nice if the FA in front would make another announcement midflight if a lot of Y passengers start coming up front reminding them to please use the lav in their ticketed cabin.

A lot of times if I want to sleep I will take the last row in F when flying in F so I wont get distrubed as much and it's annoying when pax continue to ignore the curtain and just come up and use the Y lav because they are too lazy to walk to the back to use the Y lav or if there is a forward lav they don't want to wait if it's occupied. It's also unfair to the passengers upfront who may want to use the lav to have to wait and to have people waiting on the F lav from Y to be congregating in F waiting.

I can understand if the FA's are doing their service and the carts are blocking the aisles to the lav, but most times the passengers are just being inconsiderate.

Amazed that no-one has asked this...

Is the charge dependant on what "business" one conducts? Or just $20 and that's that. If the latter holds true I'd be wanting to get my money's worth...

16 people in F vs. 16 people in F + 20 people wandering forward from Y. Each person might be the same, quantity counts.

Although an exception may be made allowing for one quickie visit for a male and female passenger travelling on the same itinerary on V,I,A,G,R,or A fares.
:D

(just sayin')

As long as you are mentioning questions that haven't been asked....

How long will it take before the DL AmEx cards offer a new bennie... companion certificate for free? Two-for-the-price-of-one trips to the lav?

Renes Points Aug 19, 2011 10:21 am

CASH?

Please everyone keep in mind DL is now cashless (classless too) and so there will be a credit card reader on the door to the lav. If you have a DL AMEX card you will get water to wash your hands for free. If not there is another reader for us who only have a VISA or MC or other card. (or just wipe your hands on the nearest 1st class'er on your way back to the rest of the gate lice!@:-)

It sure does. Scents aside, though, a calmer, quieter cabin is one of the perks of first class. Accordingly, economy passengers shouldn't be parading back and forth, and waits for the lavatory should be kept to a minimum.

Flight attendants don't permit economy passengers to roam about the BusinessElite cabin on long-haul flights, so why should domestic first class be treated any differently?

Anyone catch last week's episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm? The writers must have been reading FT.

Moral of the joke was Larry went to go use the coach lav when sitting in first and he got into a fight over it. Lady called him out that he should only use the lav in his cabin and not feel entitled to the coach lav.

It was funny and true because sometimes when I am in F I go back to coach if the lav is occupied and don't think twice about it, but the FA does usually announce "please you the lav in your cabin of service".

I like this idea, though personally I'd call it "Take one on us".

I would like to offer the marketing extension
"Take one or two on us".

Specifically, coupons perforated in the middle (thusly, good for 2#1 or 1#2).
Two coupons required for an infant?

Well, in before lock and back to work.

I have used the lav inbetween first and Y a couple times in the past when the first lav is occupied, but usually when I have it was because someone sitting back in Y was in the first class.

I would have no problem at all though using only the F lav if I was in first and waiting until it was vacant to go in, if ONLY passengers sitting in first were the ONLY ones using the lav in the front.

and when service carts block the aisle ---tell them to pee on the carpet!!! Oops someone thought o that first and its already been done.
