LiveTV on 767 Issues?
Been on a couple flights recently ATL-LAX up front on 767s with PTVs and the Live TV has shown up "Service Not Available". Anybody else been having issues with the Live TV on the transcon 767s? Just trying to see if this is a wrong place wrong time twice thing for me or if I need to start targeting the 757s for flights to have a better chance of having the Live TV working. Wasn't too happy about missing the British Open yesterday morning.

I don't think the 767 is any worse than the 757 (or the 737 for that matter) when it comes to the functionality of the satellite TV. The main issue I have with the 767 is the reading lights, which are controlled through the PTV. Often times, they will randomly go on and off throughout the flight.
The ETOPS 767-300s do have live TV, since they fly ATL-LAX/SLC frequently. I have used the satellite TV on the ETOPS 767-300 and it has worked.

Just recently had this issue on a SAN-ATL segment. Interestingly, the Sat TV was on briefly right at takeoff but then as we starting the 180 turn from W-E it cut off and never returned. Crew didn't seem to really care much either other then to say 'yeah that happens pretty regularly'.
