Sorry all you have to do is use the delta.dumb search and look for 1 way awards for the days you want and then call the medallion desk and feed them those over the pond slots and they do the rest.
Meaning no disrespect here, but ARN isn't exactly a challenge for either award or revenue inventory.

Tell you what, try redeeming your Pesos for a trip to BKK, SIN, or DPS and see what happens. You can feed the medallion desk routings and ST partners like pigeons in the park and still come up with bupkis, or one of DL's Best In Class routings with a 3-hour layover in ATL, followed by another 7 in DTW.

+1. Maybe the problem with DL awards is the DL forum not having a single thread to look for help and rant!

OP seems to have a rather hostile attitude!
Glad he found a new airline that appreciates and rewards him.
Hope United can keep all of the Delta ranters satisfied.

Hmm, OP has 4 months of flexibility and can't find low. Oh wait, he can but can't book it due to DL.dumb. Hostile indeed!

Very nice work indeed.

A minor quibble: My post reported the difficulty in redeeming pesos to SE Asia.

What was the IOS on this routing?

I pulled up a similar itinerary on DL.dumb for this month, and it doesn't include an IOS. However, it is pricing the award at 220K in J (120K Asia-EU + 100K EU-US). ffI, how many miles was the routing via CDG to be charged at and was there an IOS? (If there was, I'll bet that it's the exact same amount AF's YQ was for those flights at the time of booking.)

Presumably the CZ itinerary did not include an IOS but did include YQ. Able to share what the YQ was? Trying to compare with the MH YQ I just paid.

It would be really great if we could start building a list of region pairs (probably with partners used) that do/do not incur the IOS. Seems worthy of its own thread to help answer some frequent questions. (For instance, EU-Australia on KE and MH involved no IOS, but it did require paying YQ for the MH portion.)

I love people who post available awards with 12 hour layovers and think we should be thankful for such disgusting routings. Trips to SE Asia are tough enough on the body without enduring 12 hour layovers. Same for trips to South Africa which was my original post.

I also love people like Dickinson who has probably never used an award ticket for routings to SE Asia or Africa but refers to my factual statements as Hostile.

Try travelling outside the USA before jumping to DL defense unless of course you are just an employee???
