I doubt it is FCM, more likely holding back seats on holiday weekend. Same as how they jack gas prices. If it was my business I would do the same. It caused me to sit in back on my thurs flight but I am not going to get bent about it.

got the upgrade but unfortunately we aren't sitting together on the first leg...

hoping someone will be willing to switch a window for an aisle.

I agree with the idea on the possibility of holding back seats on a holiday weekend, my outbound (PHL - ATL) on 7-5 just cleared this morning, but my return on 7-7 cleared seven days out, have never seen that before.
