A Delta question sort of

I am going to purchase a Marriott package that will allow me to transfer 120k miles to any participating airline. I am thinking of choosing something other than Delta - since I have so many Delta miles -- and it seems it is easier to get free tix on other carriers.

For all you Delta flyers who also have status on other carriers, which do you think is the best carrier for getting low mileage award tickets?

From where to where? Economy or business class?

AA counts any mileage earned towards lifetime million miler status. With your 120k Marriott miles +a potential 150k miles by signing up for Citi/AA Visa/Amex you could be at 270,000/1m miles. Plus, in my experience it is much easier to redeem AA miles.

You can sometimes find really low mileage awards for business class on Cathay Pacific on Alaska. (As well as awards on DL, AA, BA, several others)

Of course, it really depends on what you want to get with the miles and where you want to go.

Generally speaking DL is NOT a good airline for low Biz class redemption's. If you were staying in the states then it would be a slam dunk but I am a fresh AA convert and the availability for INT low awards is far better on AA than DL.

2 cents.

AA no longer participates with Marriott Rewards:
