Problem with "Upgrade Request" on delta.com?
I've tried 3x today to buy some tickets on delta.com but every time I get to the purchase screen I see the "Note: Verify the flights you wish to upgrade via the checkboxes next to the Upgrade Status column." message .... but there's no "Upgrade Status" column!
I've never run into this problem before. Usually the box is just auto-checked, or I can check it easily. What's the deal? I don't have the patience to call and deal with customer service on the phone. I checked in the "Advanced Search" option the "Request Upgrade" box......
Any tips/ideas/suggestions? I'm waiting 5+ minutes on the "Chat Live" function (which floated across my screen and I am using for the first time ever). Of course "Chat now" is not "chat now"

Re: Problem with "Upgrade Request" on delta.com?
Not sure if it's the same issue but I just went back and forth on e-mail with DL customer service about 5 times because a few reservations I booked were "upgrade eligible" instead of "upgrade requested". Eventually a supervisor responded...apparently if you aren't signed in before you start booking your ticket there are issues with the upgrade requests. You need to sign in before you start searching for flights. I apparently signed in part way through the booking process and then the upgrade request can't process.

Interesting. I recently status matched to Delta and was wondering what was going on with the site.
I saw "Upgrade Eligible", but there wasn't a box next to it. Today, I log in and there's a box next to one of the flights, so I check it and it upgrades the segment. I check a few hours later, and another box appears on another segment and again it upgrades me on that segment. (Flying AUS->SLC->SEA and back, it let me do the SLC->SEA on the outbound and the SLC->AUS on the return.)
Perhaps this is what's going on, since I'm not sure that I actually logged in before booking the flight. The question now is how to fix it to where I can actually get the other two segments. I tried calling customer service, and they said that there are seats in F, but that it would be a battlefield upgrade to get those.
Any suggestions besides waiting to go to the airport?
EDIT: I called up the web site support and they said that I'm on the request list and that it might just be a web site quirk that it let me do it right then, but it's still strange.
EDIT2: After calling up the platinum desk, it looks like they did something to get it changed from "Upgrade Eligible" to "Upgrade Requested", so I assume everything should work as expected now.

I know as an AS elite I had to call DL to change the status from Upgrade Eligible to Upgrade Requested. Quick process... now hopin' the plane remains rather empty
