Amex Points Transfer
How bad of a deal is the current AMEX points transfer to Delta? If you dont fly much is it worth transferring 50K in points to Delta in order to get 2 free airline domestic tickets.

I'm not sure I'd refer to it being a deal. It's just simply swapping pts for SkyMiles. Don't do it just for the sake of having 50k miles sitting in your account. Wait until you've found an award itinerary and then transfer the miles you need. It's become increasingly difficult to find round trip itineraries for 25k miles a ticket.

50k will at least be 75k.
Is it worth it? Depends. I often book 100k roundtrip awards to Europe, which are of amazing value to me.

And 50K MR points gets you 75K Delta Skymiles, which would be enough for 3 domestic airline tickets and up to five domestic round trips. Pretty good deal if you ask me, especially depending on how you earned the MR points. I earn a lot of mine by charging items that earn me 3x MR points. So I charge $17K, earn 50K MR points, get 75K Delta SM and get up to five domestic round trips for $17K in charging. Pretty good if you ask me. And yes, I am differentiating "tickets" from "trips."

It would depend on where you wanted to fly and how much those tickets would cost if you purchased them. Points may be better used elsewhere if you can purchase inexpensive domestic tickets. How often do you fly?
