Delta DMs, do you use your Bag Tags?

I am just wondering how many of you put your bag tags on. Just curious. I have mine on but am thinking I will take them off because of the things I am seeing on this forum about what is thought of DMs. I don't want to be one of those people in the airport that people are looking at saying he thinks he is a big shot because he has his tags on his bag.

I use mine, and quite frankly, I couldn't give a s*** about what someone else thinks as a result. If they are overly concerned by something so small as a bag tag, that's their problem, not mine.

The best thing they provide is a way of tracing a lost bag if it gets lost without revealing the fact that the person who owns it is away from home.

That assumes the tag doesn't break or get lost too !

Bag Tags

I put my "Charter Member" DM tags on my backpack and on my new Hartmann 22" rollaboard that was Delta's gift to me for making 2 MM. I haven't used my new metal DM tags yet, although I may put one on my camera bag.

I have various vintage Delta tags on other bags, such as Crown Room luggage tags on various briefcases that I have.

I enjoy these little mementos of traveling. I'm also proud to have been a Delta frequent flyer for the past 27 years.

I don't put it on my luggage, however have it in my briefcase. In case I leave it behind at the airport (which sadly I have done) then any GA can scan my number and hopefully be able to find me.

+1. My funniest experience to date has been when I heard this loud clanking noise as my bag came out of the security screener. Apparently the metal bag tag got caught in the metal rollers and it was making quite a racket.

Surprisingly (or not), the TSA officials didn't blink an eye.

I use mine. What people think of my tags, or non tags, has no relevance to me.

There was a pretty lengthy discussion about this recently.

I use the metal loop that came with the tag and last years DM tag.
I don't like how loud they are.

You mean the noise did not wake them up.

I don't use the gaudy DM bling.

My $8,500 roll-aboard is boastful enough.

FUNNY! I flew for the first time today with the tag on my briefcase and it sounded like a cowbell. Appropriate, I guess...

A Louis Vuitton? Dior? I'd think Hermes would run you higher than that.
