DM in MI

DM arrived on Friday 2/18 in MI --- I too really like the metal cables. Thanks DL.

Last few years I replaced old cheesy loops with plastic cable ties, much much stronger. (e.g., http://crimpsupply.com/cable-ties?gc...FQjd4Aod413Mcg )

in CA on Saturday

will miss that Sat. mail (19 Feb). Thanks, DL. Last year's charter member tags were taped together...looked pretty bad;)

I think the sticker on the back with your # and barcode is cheap. Won't last a year.

And that is the only thing on the tag that allows them to work as identification (other than identifying DKYWIA). Last year's had the SM number screened on the back and it hasn't rubbed off in a year of carrying it around on my briefcase. On the half-size MM Silver bag tag, the SM number is screened (or something) as well as on the the old NW half-size plat tags (except it wore away on the black 09 tag).

I think it will last but you could be right. Maybe a good idea to throw last year's tag into the bag so that if the sticker does come off, at least there is still some identification.

I'm too cheap for that -- I'll just cut off the "Charter Member" strip from last year's tags and super glue it to the bottom.

Great idea - make the new tags Super 3D!!

PM Creds Arrived... Yippee

Same program as last year, no straps for the bag tags (like last year). Skypiles Card flyer went immediatly into the circular file, along with the Hertz flyer.

Oh the rules changed. Have you not read the award chart increase thread? Lets see if it is really just intra Asia...I am guessing not!

Just got my new DM tags in and they are metal! A lot nicer looking but not sure how much "clanking" on my backpack I'll be able to stand...but its different...

+1 -> To go with the "herds of travelers" and "cattle car" cabins....these things sound like cowbells !

Not sure how well they'll stand up to getting banged around in baggage. Mine were bent on arrival from the US Postal Service.

Got mine Saturday. Pretty. Noisy. And no "Charter Member". My current plastic tag is cracked as a result of being gate checked on a CRJ.

I can deal with the noise but I wonder how long until I cut my finger/hand on it. It has rather sharp edges.
