With a non-FC ticket and as Platinum you have probably a 97% probability of upgrade with a Delta reserve card originating in a hub city with an economy fare. It would be 99.5% in a non-hub city.

I've seen these numbers thrown around for upgrade percentages by status level several times on this forum. I believe they originated with Jeff Robertson at a Delta DO but am not sure:

DM: 85%
PM: 75%
GM: 55%
SM: 40%

100%

I am flying out of DCA, IAD, and PIT and my upgrade percentage as a diamond has been 100% this year. Last year as a plat it was about 70%.

Those are interesting, but they strike me as low. My personal experience has been better than these quoted numbers, but as I said, I help them along by shopping more carefully.

Those seem like bermuda triangle numbers -- flying prime time (departure 9a.m.-4p.m.) in a hub city on CRJs. Or flying prime time from a hub origin on transcons where lots of people buy first class.
