Question Upgrade eligible when using credit?
Newbie here....I tried searching but couldn't find a response to my question - I have a credit from delta for voluntarily getting off an oversold flight. I would like to use this for an upcoming flight but does that still leave me eligible for an upgrade? I am a gold medallion.

Yes, vouchers book into the same revenue buckets as other fares. Your ticket will be recognized for upgrades in identical manner to all others in your fare bucket.

My understanding is that a voucher is the same as purchasing with cash/credit card so the answer would be Yes.

My upgrades processed normally at the 6 day mark for a ticket this week using mostly vouchers and a few bucks cash.

Yes as long as it is a paid ticket you will be eligible for upgrade base on the upgrade priority list.

how you pay is irrelevant as far as upgrades unless you are on an award ticket which does not upgrade; on a similar note, a pay with miles ticket doesn't earn you mqms

Incorrect: DMs, PMs, and GMs are eligible for upgrades on award and PWM tickets.
