Dca: Crowded

Flew into DCA yesterday and noticed that there were three small planes waiting in the holding area off the taxiway for vacant gates. The skyclub also seemed particularly crowded although well-staffed (and I am happy about the recent renovations -- thank you Delta)! But please add gate capacity during peak evening hours

Hmm, yes, but don't blame us poor mileage runners. Let me move this to Delta.

It could also be due to added flights as of 10/31 as noted in this thread:

Because of the failed slot-swap between Delta and US Airways, Delta has added a number of flights at DCA to keep the slots alive - including mainline to Miami, Tampa and Orlando and regionals to Boston (up in size/frequency from CRJs), Hartford, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Columbus and Indianapolis (up in size/frequency).
