Will there be any changes to the Medallion program for 2011?

What have you heard? anything official?

Ive heard that anyone who makes DM for 2011, will be greeted at each flight and escorted to their next flight by George Clooney.

Very excited about this!

Clooney is AA Million Miles, he would never fly delta.

That is why it makes it such a great DM benefit on DL!

The ATL DO is next week. Hopefully Jeff will not announce "improvements"

Focus Our Action Plan
Preferred Seats Preferred Seats are sometimes not available when booking a last-minute ticket. Thus, we will add a greater allocation of preferred Economy class seats on all Delta and Delta Connection� flights to ensure our most loyal customers receive the best seats. This change will be completed by September.
Online Award experience We are redesigning the Award Travel booking process and calendar on delta.com to improve the Award redemption experience. We plan to continue improving the display of Award seats and other issues to provide better online Award Travel booking. We began making these improvements in May and have completed many of them already. We will continue to improve the online experience on delta.com to offer more functionality to customers through the first quarter of next year.

Through the balance of 2010 and into the first quarter of next year we will:

Continue to redesign the Award Travel booking process and further improve the pricing and availability display of the calendar
Add even more search options and display flight amenities

Elite benefits on Alaska Air flights We are adding the ability to upgrade on Alaska for Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallions, in the fall of 2010, as part of the Delta and Alaska partnership expansion.

Mileage upgrade Award We will add the ability to redeem mileage upgrade Awards online.
Miles and money Award We will re-introduce the former PerkChoice program, which allowed members to combine miles and money when buying a ticket. This program feature will supplement our existing Pay with Miles program for current Delta SkyMiles Gold, Platinum and Reserve SkyMiles Cardmembers from American Express.

-You'll be able to redeem 4 SWU's for 1 magazine subscription.
-You can pay $500/year for SkyGuard, which automatically adds SkyPesos to your account to keep up with the instantaneous inflation rate in the program.

Sounds good, but can I get 2 magazine subscriptions for my 4 SWUs? That would make them a real benefit.

Wow, this is amazing news. And since I live in OMA, and live very close to George's supposed apartment downtown which doesn't exist, and go through the security line in OMA that doesn't exist every week, what other amazing benefits can I expect? Anna Kendrick to guide me through security?!

i would like to be able to use my SWUs in place of a drink chit or something off the eats menu ... seriously.

New for 2011:

Secure flight list will be indexed against an AMEX database and any customer not holding an AMEX account will be paged to the gate desk and given an application.

Additionally, if GA time allows: Secure flight list will be indexed against purchase database and any customer who didn't use an AMEX to purchase their ticket will be paged to the gate desk for explanation.

Trust me this already happens (especially in ATL)....I proudly show them my US FlexPerks and Chase CO cards which are always used to buy my DL tickets

Improvements are good...it's the dreaded "enhancements" that we need to be concerned about.
