772L ops

Can anyone detail the current schedule rotation of the the 772L's?

If you're trying to fly on the aircraft, be warned: equipment is always subject to change. Sometimes 772s (777-200ERs) are substituted.

However, you're guaranteed the 77L on flights between ATL and JNB, LAX and SYD, and DTW and HKG. (Putting 772s on those routes would cause a splashdown. )

Or at least pushing the wrong button in the cockpit would make you think so. Oh wait that's BA not DL.

Neither of those was much help, although I noticed on a recent SYD/LAX/ATL run that the 772L used to SYD flew on to ATL then on to DXB. Obviously, when the flight plus turnaround is >12 hours something has to give, so I was wondering how they handled that. But yes, I would also like to know how they rotate the various 772L's through the route system.
