Chicago Shuttle

What are the odds at a gold medallion upgrade on the new LGA to ORD shuttles?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.5.0.81 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Depends on departure times but seems to be much easier than DCA Shuttle flights.

Hopefully as good as the odds of missing a collision with a Military transport

Even if people dont believe you

As far as getting upgrade, it should be pretty easy, for the 8am outgoing from LGA I was the only Diamond there were no Plats. probably 2 or 3 golds and as many silvers as I saw the seat go 1,4 then 7 in the 5,3,1 windows and we went out with a couple empty.

The flight back was 11am and there were 4 pax up front and I was the only one up to 1 day window.

What I like about the route is that even though it is 733 miles it has full service (well cold breakfast and sandwich for lunch) in F on a 1:45 min flight.

I am also Gold and have had good success on this shuttle. I took the 7 AM LGA flight mid-week recently and was 1 of 5 on the upgrade list at check-in, upgraded at gate. Return flight that evening was upgraded in window.

Taking the shuttle this weekend, upgraded in window for LGA Friday afternoon departure and in window for Sunday afternoon return.

As a lowly silver I have been upgraded 100% of the time on the ORD and DCA shuttles and have flown several times at peak business traveller times. My upgrade percentage for this year is 100% and I have been going back and forth to Chicago for the triple MQM bonus and to visit a friend as an incidental benefit.

Probably one of the easiest upgrade routes in the system, same as when it was LGA-MDW. I have never missed an upgrade on this route, and the times that I have traveled with a companion they have always received the companion upgrade. Every time I have flown it there have always been empty seats in F, and yesterday afternoon there were only 3 of us in F. Once about 4 months ago I was the only passenger in F on a MDW-LGA flight.

the Chicago shuttles seems to be very tourist heavy... there are actually people waiting at the luggage carousel at the MAT which is really unheard of for the DCA / BOS shuttles, where people jump out of the plane and zoom straight for the cab line. While this may seem like an irrelevant post, all I'm trying to say is that there are fewer medallions / paying F fares on this route, so chances are higher for UG
