Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9550/5.0.0.713 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

In Lima now. Just checked my SM account and what I was afraid would happen has. Dl it rebooked me yesterday because of a potential misconnect even though we ended up in atl 30 minutes early. So I went to skyclub and got put back on the flight for last night.
SM account is showing the bonus for trip to delta hub.

Can someone post Mr. Pinto's e-mail again. All I have is my blackberry and I it is a real pain to wade through the posts. Thanks.

CV

PS: I googled it and found it. Kevin responded within 10-15 minutes. Thanks Kevin!

Thanks for the heads up, OP. I don't hang out much in the Delta forum, and this promo was something I've been looking for.

All done now.

Bonus for AF booked flight on dl metal?

Has anyone had experience booking an AF ticket flying on DL metal and earning the promotion miles ex-PIT. There are some good fares on AF to BRU..(seems like the cheapest way to get to Europe this year).. the ticket is issued by AF... But transatlantic on DL metal

Promo says Delta-coded flights, I wouldn't chance it. There are some decent Delta fares from PIT-DUB for Oct-Dec (around $550 all-in with same day turns). It yields pretty decent miles if you connect in ATL.

Thinking about PIT to HKG. (will only book this MR on a 77L. in the hopes of getting an op-up, I want the 180 lie-flat!!!)

what do you think the chinese folks at HKG will think when you tell them your only staying in the country for the night?

OK, I haven't seen this question answered here.

If I purchase a R/T BusinessElite ticket from, say STL-ATL-LHR, am I earning 200% MQMs + 50% Class of service MQMs, or am I earning 300% MQMs (Double the 150% MQM I'd get without the promo).

Thanks for the answer if anyone knows!

About 837 posts ago (joking) the DL promo guy said 300% (you get the COS bonus doubled).

help me calculate miles?

I have a business trip to Japan (NRT) and I spent some time with my company travel agent to get me out of PIT instead of my home airport (DTW) to get the bonus.

Can someone help me calculate how many MQM/miles I will get? I am PLAT, and here are the flights (I am mostly confused because for this business class round trip, I will also go through ATL and DTW, which are hubs.. Also, my business class flights to NRT are class S and I, which i've never seen before...but picking these class flights made my itinerary cheaper than flying out of DTW and justifiable for my boss)
The class of service in (brackets) All my flights are Delta operated.

PIT - ATL (A) - LAX (A)- NRT (S)
NRT -LAX (I) - DTW (A) - PIT (A)

My calculation (based on miles from Delta.com) is:

MQM (526 + 1946 + 5451 + 5451 + 1979 + 500) x 2.5 = 39,632.
RDM (526 + 1946 + 5451 + 5451 + 1979 + 500) x 1.5 + 50,000 = 89,632

Wow! So I am gaining ~15K MQM and 50K RDM over my default trip. Thats worth the extra $50 gas and 8 hours of driving! (It takes me 1 hour to get to DTW, 5 hr to get to PIT)....

As long as they are on DL metal it should be fine. At least that is what the DM line agent told me. I have an AF coded flight CdG-PIT in about 10 days and will report the outcome then.

chunky649, your math looks good except in one place--per Kevin Pinto in a post about 840 back ;), the double MQM includes the COS bonus--thus, it would be ((base MQM)*1.5 COS)*2, or MQM*3. My calculations show that you would get 47,559 MQM.

Enjoy your trip!

Does anyone know if I fly BNA - SFO outbound and return SFO - DTW, will I get the bonuses? I've read that open jaws qualify, but wonder if qualifying flights have to originate and terminate in one of the 4 cities. Thanks.

pretty sure the open jaw meant you could fly into DTW and then have a land segment to say, MSP, and then fly back to your origination for all that to count. flying BNA > SFO > DTW is not covered by the whole originate and terminate in one of the 4 cities. IMO or how the T&C are written.

There have been some anecdotal reports of FTer's receiving o/w 2X miles but IMO the rules are clear: Must originate and terminate in a 2X city. Take your chances if you like but I wouldn't. YMMV.

Flew BNA-ATL-SAN yesterday, and today when I woke up the flights had posted along with:
