Here's a simple question...
I'm looking at the Delta website for skymiles. Trying to find a reward ticket. Nothing comes up, one of the choices comes up Revise your search, search by schedule and view calendar for more options. I can see a calendar with some colored squares. I'm using either Firefox or IE.
However, no flights come up. It says.."we couldn't find flexible calendar options for your search either due to a system problem or because the route is served only by partner airlines. The flexible calendar options are only available for Delta or Northwest flights."
Where did that come from? (I never said anythign about flexible calendar) Where are you all find the "three levels" of purchase? It's never coming up with anything available--much less a choice of business, economy, etc.. I'm trying to fly rt from WAW to NBO from Nov. 18 to Dec. 7 this year.
When I click on "search", nothing happens. When I click on revise, it acts like it's looking but each time nothing comes up.
Is this normal? I had searched for TPA to ANC flights and it was easy..there were lots of options and it clearly said 32,000 miles plus $35. Many of you are finding lots of international flights available. What am I doing wrong?
I'd gladly read a "newbie" thread but I've looked athe FAQ section and can't find anything.
I read that one of you mentioned using the calendar. I see it in small form, but when I click on it, all it does it go into "think" mode and comes up with the same "nothing here" page.
Help? Links to go to...this whole forum is so enormous I don't know where to go for him, though I'd think this kind of information is here somewhere.

Try routes to and from one of the main european hubs like AMS or CDG and when you have established a route enter it as a multi-destination. There's probably no published route WAW-NBO so you may have to construct it yourself. If this works, call an agent before you try and book because if it is AF or KLM you will get better information directly from that desk.

Looks like there is a KL WAW-AMS-NBO and return.
Welcome to FT!

Truthfully....it's basically a trial because I wanted to see how many miles we'd need to try to fly to Nairobi for free from here in Warsaw.
So are you saying that the partner airlines aren't going to show up in the award mileage--you always have to call the partner airlines and do it that way? (seems soo old-fashioned!)

And you'll also have to call to find out what the Low/Med/High values are for redemption, as SkyMiles does not publish ANY award charts, except for those originating in the US.
Also, you will need to pay the Overseas origination fee to use your SkyMiles, which in your case my be 100 euros or more, in addition to taxes...
good luck!
