How about Earth Day (or maybe Rainforest Preservation) theme. ..... Not too controversial.....and probably widely celebrated....

These theme planes could have unique lighting and decor inside and outside....

Yes, they do. Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts are already in the special scheme some fleets on operating US Airways & AirTran, too.

I would go for a Mets scheme.

For a retrojet, I think the 1959 DC-8 inaugural scheme would look great on a 757.

I'll vote for anything in polished aluminum. It's such a shame to paint airplanes at all.

I remember former America West with special color scheme is Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona One, Nevada One, Ohio One and etc.

I wouldn't mind Deltalina on the tail, a la Lichtenstein utilizing DL's current red and blue.

I would like to see the Shenanigans! Livery. The front half of the ac should have Shenanigans! down both sides and the back half can just be giant question marks with officer Barbrady on the tail wagging his finger ala Deltalina..

While folks have suggested some worthy (and not so worthy) causes I am going to be a stick in the mud. I personally do not want Delta to spend one extra cent on special livery themes. I would much rather have them spend the monies on fixing problems that make the flight and the flying experience more comfortable.
