Priority Tags with Interline/Codeshare

Checking in with AS, connecting to DL int'l. Any chance AS will give me priority tags? I can bring my own if that helps

Alaska doesn't offer or use priority tags. There's only one exception and it may apply to you; any passengers checking in with AS and connecting to a DL Biz/F International flight. Those are the only "priority" tags Alaska uses for any passengers and status doesn't play a role.

haha I would do it just for fun (using an old DL tag I've saved)

My original reason to ask was of course bag collection at the DL destination. If my first flight was DL metal I'd have gotten them. Obviously, in the grand scheme of things this isn't that important...

I've done it before. Ask Delta for the tag then ask AS ticket agent to place it on.

The DL agent said no. Of course, it didn't really matter since all the bags were delivered by the time we got to the carousel.

^ to the SC agent at SEA who made sure our bags interlined correctly!

I always ask the AS agent to put in a DL priority tag that I give them, when on an AS connecting to DL itinerary. Have never had a problem. (of course, the actual usefulness of the priority tag is up for debate...)
