Well, it the article is true, I have received 3 visits at my home from them without me providing any contact info to them. I am glad I am either working on traveling when they have came by, but they leave all this junk at the door.

Typical union thuggery. The current administration will not nothing but encourage this behavior. They'll screw up this airline even more!

mrredskin Apr 2, 2010 6:58 am

i'd believe it. look at what unions have done to manufacturing and other industries for the past few decades. auto industry = proof.

See that BS is ridiculous. Unions are nothing but thugs after the almighty greenback of their own! They don't give a darn about the employees. They care about sucking that union fee out of the check and they "act" like they actually care.

The auto industry is doing very well in the USA. Toyota, Honda, BMW.... it is only the USA based manufacturers with UAW employees that have declined.

Go figure.

And Delta management isn't after the almighty greenback? With all the fees and other shenanigans going on around Delta, are you saying Delta management wouldn't take advantage of employees if it had a chance?

Granted, there's been a lot of shenanigans going on in some unions over the years too. But looking at how Delta management treats it's own customers, I can't imagine they treat employees any better.

If it were me, I'd just as soon pay the union fee, and at least feel I have some measure of checks and balances against management.

Same BS Arguments

Blah Blah Blah, Unions are Evil. Blah Blah Blah, Unions are good.

Some of you need to crack open a book and look the term "Nuanced Argument". Making an argument with gross generalizations, factoids, and derogatory statements isn't going to sway anyone and frankly reflects poorly on yourself.

I think Anderson has been watching too many 1930 union/management newsclips.

Still, anti-union management has to put on a good show - there's no business.like show business, I know. :D

That's what I was referring to. i should've been more specific.

the union is coming! the union is coming!

LOL! Anderson needs to get a life and quit the histrionics. Management knows the math and they know the flight attendants will soon have union representation! The numbers are quite clear. The Northwest flight attendants heavily support the union. When you add these votes to the Delta flight attendants who have supported representation, it is pretty much a done deal. Anderson needs to dry his tears, stop whining, and accept this reality. Management thuggery will not stop the inevitable.

Why would anyone want to make a "nuanced argument" about something that is black and white?

Ironic that someone named unionunionunion would use the word thuggery. Thuggery indeed.

You're right, I shouldn't have used the word "Argument". That implies the expectation that posters offer facts to support their assertions.

Ok...then why not vote now and quit trying to change how the votes (and non-votes..) are counted and get it over with. It wasn't going to happen until a former FA union president and a former pilot union leader (both Democrats...) were appointed to the NMB. Plenty of votes have been held under the "old" rules. That should be good enough.
