Delta Mini-DO
 

As being inspired by CO and their mini-DO (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/conti...on-4-17-a.html) and discussion with various FTers I have decided to see if anyone would be interested. The date would be April 24 in ATL. This is no way endorsed or sponsored by Delta BTW.
Plan on having dinner and drinks for the night. The venue has not been decided upon at this sime. Our special guest for the night will be SMI, so I hope we will have a good turn out.

Since SMI has graciously agreed to come to the mini DO, we are in debate of a date. I was thinking of April 10 or 24 but either dates work for him..

I have made our reservation at Prime and secured a private dining room. Right now we have 25 people confirmed and the room holds 30. I have decided to go with an open menu instead of a set menu. We do have a $750 F&B minimum to meet but I have no doubt that we will surpass that. I will be PMing those confirmed to get some additional details. Thanks and look forward to seeing everybody!

Should be passing through ATL that night on the way to SEA (or that AM on the way to HNL).

I'll have to check my schedule (I think I was going to celebrate my birthday with a friend of mine in SID, but that is still subject to change)

I'd be interested in going as my boobie bear wants me to go to ATL in April.

Sadly I'm cheating on Delta that weekend and flying a certain Chicago-based airline that WBurcham refers to as my hooker airline (and accruing the EQS to a certain Houston-based airline that is supposedly my mistress airline per WBurcham...)

Of course you would be spending time with that tramp. I put a hex on your E+ seat(s) and you get a POS in the middle seat.

With UDU, I'm hoping for more than an E+ seat on some flights :D

May be in, count me as tentative. I've family coming on the 17th, so would have to get a flight back to SJC such that I could arrive before them :)

I've been getting to know her better and she's really a sweetie and seems insterested in taking care of me whenever I'm able to see her. Just looked at my new friend and I see she can route me TPA-ORD-ATL.

That would be going from inhospitable to downright evil. :D

Hey, in any event, I'm interested. By day availability, what are you thinking, morning, noon, after lunch? I can do mid-morning through night.

I really wish you did this on a Saturday....

LOL,love to make it but I'll be in Houston. Maybe I'll make the CO one. Because of no Delta Houston-Dallas flights I do use them more these days.

I might be able to make this one. At the very least I'll be passing through on my way to MKE so I could go for an all day connection. :)

I really wish that I could make this date and meet many of you, but have an out of town obligation on the 16-18th.

Pretty much any date in April except 16-18...I can move other things in my schedule if I need to - just not those dates.

I'd be in for the 16th..or almost any day except the 20th. (Jury duty, unless a FT Do counts as an excused absence in Fulton County :D )

Yeah lets nail down a date and time frame...I'm sure some of use would try to figure out flight times so we transit through ATL and get to attend some/all...

Actually...since the big May Roadwarrior Traing thing is in ATL...a Delta Mini-Do would make more sense in another hub city...DTW? JFK?

But that would take an organizer in one of those cities...

Depending on the time of day on 4/24. Returning from SFO to DCA that day or Sunday. Could stopover in ATL.

I'm up for it depending on the date...it's an easy hop up and back to ATL
ETA- can only do the 24th during the day,. I'm on the Exec Committee for a major fundraiser at our performing arts center on the 24th.

I'm interested, but the final date will be my constraint. 24th is probably easier for me.

Quite aware...this is a mini-DO.

I'm going through ATL on the 24th on my way to ONT - could schedule a longer layover before my 700p 757 to the West Coast.

Date looks good to me - count me in as tentative pending final times. My flight out leaves at 713p and I will need to SDC to a longer ATL layover from MSP.

I thought the new date was not set yet?:confused:

Nevermind, I just realized that a new date was set up, thanks so much Zsmith for setting it up on a Saturday!!! I'm very interested in attending. :D

Glad the date is set...will see if I can make it... I'm definitely interested but just a matter of making scheduling work... I assume the plan is to do something in/near the airport?

Although I would love to attend, I'm taking DL to OMA (of all places I might go) that weekend for another event.

Damn!! Wish I could make this and meet some folks in an "unofficial" setting.

I'll be living out of my Land Cruiser that week in the San Rafael Swell in Southern Utah.
