Its been a few months since I flew DL. Are order for meals in business LAX-JFK, or LAX-CVG done FEBO still?

Food orders on DL domestic?

I confess to not having flown LAX-JFK in about 2 years on DL (I have AA for that route). But food orders on the LAX-CVG route? I guess they could start at either end of the F cabin and ask you whether or not you plan on eating the "meal".

Does someone who flies the routes regularly want to provide a "yes"or "no" answer?

On the LAX-CVG route, DL does not provide any choice of entree. The only choice is whether or not you want to eat. It has been about 18 months since DL eliminated a choise of entree on most DL First Class meal flights.

Technically, you will likely have a choice of having a FC meal for free or paying for something off of the coach menu.

FEBO... Still the policy?

Did a search and cannot find anything recent... Mods, merge if I am missing something.

Is FEBO still the policy for DL? Had an odd number flight on DL today and the service started from the front? Recent reports?

AFAIK, it was, then it wasn't, and then it has been occasionally.

I've only noticed FEBO on 2 of my last 12 flights this year. I don't pay attention to whether I'm on an even or odd numbered flight, but have noticed FA starting from the back twice. So I guess it's possible I've just been on a lot of even numbered flights!

I too have seen greater attention to FEBO of late. They walk the cabin with the manifest and take orders FEBO but serve from front.

I think it would be more fun if they had an official coin toss at the beginning of the flight.

But what happens when 3A defers until the second half?

I've seen it once. Thought I'd be SOL for the filet being in 1A, but I got lucky.

Normally I will eat either option, but I despise ending up with CHEERIOS when a hot option is available.

Hah! So this is something official. My wife and I have noticed this on some flights recently. Weren't sure if FA's just occasionally chose to do this or not. Is there a valid point to doing this?
