Written Baggage Rules

Does anyone know where I can find WRITTEN checked baggage rules for Medallions at Delta.com? At NWA.com, it was very clearly posted. At Delta, the only reference is no second-bag fee for flights to Europe. Otherwise, nothing. Not even the contract of carriage says anything about elites/medallions' bag allowances. I assume the Northwest rules apply but frankly, I would be afraid to assume anything with the new Delta.

Did you purchase your ticket recently? If so you can goto

http://www.delta.com/traveling_check...ex.jsp#checked

Subject to the same fees.
Checked Baggage—International
Currently when traveling to or from most cities outside the United States you can check two bags, per passenger at no extra charge. For customers traveling between the U.S. or Canada and Europe customers in economy class will be charged 50 USD/CAD/EUR* each way for the second checked bag.
There is a second bag fee applied to travel between U.S./Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands to/from Bermuda and Latin America, which includes Mexico, Caribbean, Central and South America (except Brazil) of 25 USD/CAD* if checked in on-line and 30 USD/CAD* via the ticket counter, kiosk, or curbside (view the complete listing).

Exceptions to the second checked bag fee include:
First and Business Class passengers
SkyMiles and WorldPerks Elite members (Platinum, Gold, and Silver)

Active duty U.S. military members traveling on orders
Passengers who purchased tickets prior to May 23, 2009 (to Europe)
Passengers who purchased tickets prior to September 19, 2009 (to Latin America)

Passengers who are confirmed on a Full Y class Economy ticket.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Summary - it is written and clear that on domestic flights, the allowance for a silver medallion is 2 bags 70 lbs each free of charge. Thanks Andy.

However, it remains unclear what the allowance is on international flights ex-Europe. Asia to US/ US to Asia, under NWA it was very clear -- silver (and higher) 2 bags of 70 lbs each free in economy. I still don't see this actually written down at delta.com ..... I just hate to have to argue with the ground staff but I do have the old NW rules printed out (travel on NW tickets).

Keep telling yourself that. Operating carrier rules apply - and there are no more NW-operated flights.

If the tickets were purchased before the rules changed and pre-single cert then the DOT is going to take a dim view on that excuse. File a complaint with the DOT for Unfair and Deceptive trade practices.

Didn't DL & NW align their policies as much as they could to avoid this?

DL/NW will remain non-aligned for bag fees between U.S. and Asia/Africa and intra-Asia until SOC

@Awsm when did you purchase your ticket

Side question...are priority tags put on all luggage for GM, pM, and DM pax regardless of travel time? I know they almost never work, but I was just wondering...
