First timer: online check-in!

What's up with DL IT? Although I was informed about tighter security, yada yada, on Jan, 9th, 2010, there was a first timer for me today.

I was actually able to *drum roll* check in ONLINE for the very first time since I fly DL. ^ I just finished the process and it worked! No more "Mr. D. please see the agents" display on screen! No more blank pages coming up after typing your details! Hooray.

Ofc. my printer is out of paper at the moment but that is something even I cannot blame on dl

First time ever? Wow. The only time I have not been allowed OLCI is when using PMUs. Last year that was 3/68 check ins.

Well for domestics it always worked out but this was actually the first time it worked for the TATL part, too. Before I either got a blank screen or "Please contact an agent".

Did you have your passport details stored? I have been using OLCI exclusively and never once used a check-in agent in 5 years and 5-600 flights. I am shocked you have gone this long...it can add 30-45 mins to every flight. Congrats.

Yes, my profile is up to date. In the past, TXL had no bag drop counter at the DL gate, so I had to see the agent anyway. Therefore it was never a huge time saver for my outbound but I would have loved it for the inbounds from SAT or AUS. Now they do have bag drops, so I hope this wasn't just a lucky glitch.

It seems even the kiosks are working on international trips now. When I scanned my BP yesterday the kiosk was NOT showing "Please see agent" right away but I got a menu with things I can do ...

Sweet. Yes I forget that I have flown from BOS or LAX for the last 15 years and not everybody has a major AP to originate from.
