Security in MSP
I am heading out tomorrow morning on my first trip in 2010. Anyone experience the security lines at MSP recently? Wondering if I should plan for longer lines outside of what I usually see on Monday mornings.

I flew out of MSP last Wednesday (12/30), entering the security line around 3:30 pm. The medallion security entry line was short and fast but the regular line looked pretty long, which I attributed to holiday travelers. The actual screening process seemed about the same as usual.

2p Sunday
Only one in line at skyway checkpoint. No abnormal hassles. TSA at gate for secondary screening moved on when flight delay announcement made. No secondary screening on BOS flight, though DEN got the TSA extra love.

Security today at MSP was going normally (no extra gate checks, and no secondary on my cable heavy backpack), with below average amounts of pax. This was one of the few times that the FC security lane had literally zero people in it. Granted, the TDC made me wait while he processed two other people in the regular line before looking at my stuff, it still was very quick.

Saturday morning January 2 was horrible for no apparent reason. There was almost no one in line in front of me in the elite line, but nothing was moving. Security took almost a half hour.

MSP trick is to go to the old DL line (where AA and UA is). Go into the elite line there, it gets you straight to TSA and I use it when the NW line backs up (often 10+ in the FC line).
