The mobile site has worked great for me during my last two trips out of DCA using my Blackberry Bold. My mobile boarding passes were scanned successfully on the first try each time at DCA and at SLC. Flight status has also been working well, although there are still a few issues with the formatting as mentioned above.

I found it particularly useful during the WX/IRROPS last weekend when I was trying to get back to DCA from SLC. I had checked my flight status before heading to the airport, but when the lines stopped moving I suspected something was up. Just before agents made announcements about cancellations into EWR and JFK, I was able to see that my flight had been canceled, as well as see my automatically rebooked itinerary. I also received text message updates and the automated phone call within a span of a few minutes. The heads up allowed me to call SMS to get my wife and I rebooked before all of the few seats left out of SLC were gone!

I wholeheartedly agree that it would be really nice to see all legs on a given PNR, instead of just the first one. At least for me, the mobile site is evolving in the right direction ^.

OMG

I think hell might be about to freeze over: mobile.delta.com now shows details about my itineraries! ^^

But it STILL doesn't work internationally on my blackberry because of ....ed up redirects! Come on, Delta, it's EASY to fix. Would you like me to come over and fix it for you? Italian consulting rates are for sure cheaper than pissing off all your non-American customers...

Good catch. Not only can you view details of your trips but you can also change seats!

It sure is working better than it has been, but if your flight has issues, you get this goofy statement. This is the exact wording cut and pasted (emphasis added)

Your itinerary has been updated with the new flight(s) you selected. There has been a flight delay affecting There has been a flight cancellation affecting Due to a flight delay affecting your trip to xxxxx, xx on Apr 13, 2010. But, we can automatically rebook you on another flight at no extra cost. we've automatically rebooked you on an alternate flight(s) at no extra cost.
• View trip details and options so we can help you find flight(s) at no extra cost.
• View trip details and options to choose one of our suggested alternate flight options or search for additional flights at no extra cost.
• You can check in for your confirmed flight(s) now - or view trip details and options to find alternate flights at no extra cost.
• Be sure to check the latest Visa and Passport Requirements for each country you'll be stopping in or visiting.
Of course, I couldn't 'view' the alternate flights. I am also not sure how my flight can be both delayed and canceled while I am sitting on the taxiway waiting to take off.

Yes, I was so excited the mobile site worked that I even blogged about it! It sure is nice to have some mobile functionality back.

can't book a one-way ticket?

My apologies for resurrecting such an old thread. But on a few occasions now, I've tried booking a one-way F ticket using the m.delta.com site and I've failed miserably. After entering in my cities and date and asking for the search results, I just get a blank screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

Android v2.3.3

I don't know about booking tickets via the Android DL app, but I just recently updated the app on my phone and have been running into endless problems. The most significant being that 90% of the time the app will get stuck on 'loading information' and never come back from la-la land. I forced a stop of the app more time than I can count, and I've even gone as far as re-installing it twice.

My point is that the app is particularly buggy as of late, so I wouldn't count on it doing anything more than occasionally showing you flight status. Don't get me wrong, I love the app when it works. I prefer the mobile boarding pass over paper, the way it displays itineraries is great, and I adore the upgrade stand-by list. I just think this latest version is not to be depended on.

iPhone app doesn't yet have booking capability (though supposedly coming soon), so unless the android app already has this functionality now, this must be a mobile site issue (in web browser) rather than an app issue.

I have recently successfully booked a r/t coach ticket on the mobile site using my iPhone, but that data point is probably of little relevance to your issue.

FWIW, You might be better off starting a new thread rather than resurrecting a 2 year old thread, as this is likely not an issue that has been going on since the original thread was active (unless o/w FC ticket bookings are really rare!)

Fly Delta App

Wonder if there is anyone who can help on finding the "upgrade/standby" list on the FlyDelta App? All the TVs at MSP, Boston and Atlanta say you can use it, but I cannot find any link, button, folder, word, etc... that takes me there. I was standing at each airport during the last week, trying to get it to work, and I cannot find it. Thanks.

Once you check-in either on the app or some other means, go to the itinerary and look under seat assignment use link to view UG list.

Obviously, you need a working internet connection and be logged into the FlyDelta app. You don't need to be at the airport to view the list via the app.

But it sometimes sticks loading the UG page and if it does, I back up, view my current seating chart then go back to view UG list, it usually sorts out and works.
