Will DL rejoin Priority Pass

Now with the merger complete do you think Delta will rejoin PriorityPass? I would hope so since it brings in more revenue. I hope that Delta will join forces and if anyone here can push this along to please do so. Many PriorityPass members miss the Delta Skyclubs and want them back. Is there a God out there who can give us an early Hanukkah or Christmas present by having them rejoin PP? Thanks

Why would you think DL would want to accept Priority Pass again when they just said "no" to them? I really don't think the merger process is the reason they stopped accepting PP but who really knows.

Both sides are keeping mum. My guess is DL wanted more money for less amenities and PP wasn't willing to pay. While I'm sure they'd like the PP money, at the same time they're letting top tier customers in. So there's capacity problems. I get a comped PP as part of my Citi Plat Amex, as a MSP flyer it's discouraging, but 80% of the time I get club access as part of a J ticket.

DL should return to the previous arrangement and allowed PP access at
select clubs. Only ATL's E concourse accepted members for many years.

No, I don't see corporate reversing this - unless they fall short signing up former SkyTeamers they're pitching hard. SkyClubs just are neither tempting nor special enough to be turning away good customers who can find arguably better amenities at rival clubs.

Based on the overcrowding that I have seen in most of the Crown Rooms, I would be surprised if DL ever rejoins PPass. I do know that I will not renew my PPass because of it.

I would also be surprised if DL rejoined PP for the same reasons as here.

What would make much more sense would be selected airports/lounges. I think DL really wants to push for SC membership. But -- in smaller cities where there are fewer members -- DL may end up accepting them again (BNA, MKE, etc) where the PP numbers are fairly small.

I will say, the only reason I got SC was that DL stopped accepting PP.

Just what we need... clubs that are even more crowded.

My issue is the SCs feel more crowed than they were back when PP had a contract with DL. Amenities are down, memberships are up (compared to WC prices). It makes one wonder if the actually SC members are subsidizing the various members that get complimentary access.

They are laying the foundation for the new Sky Club SeatChoice program, where paying members will be able to call, 24 hours ahead of time, and reserve a place to sit in the club for for an additional $10 per visit.

True to a point, but remember, PP paid DL for every person who walked in the door. So if DL has X members in the club, they aren't "making" $$ per head. With PP, they had their own members, plus $$ from every PP that walks in the door. So in a way, DL was having their club subsidized by the PP.

I had the per-visit PP @ $27/club - if DL is charging $50 for a day pass, they're expecting a lot more than the standard PP re-imbursement it seems. Moreover, when they're busy, those clubs get very crowded; I've seen SLC and SEA come close to Standing Room Only in the mid/late morning.

I did a status match on CO and popped for a discounted PC membership. The clubs (and UA's) are more comfortable and the staff seem glad you're there. Before DL quit PP, I always preferred them at LAX and SFO, especially. Something's amiss at SkyClubs. Hard to articulate. I'll gladly walk the tunnel for a genuine welcome, real food choices and a clean work station.

I know in BNA, they averaged maybe two or three a day. Before they dropped PP, it was already down to maybe one a week as AA now has a club. I can not see how it would help make them any money with numbers like that.

I rather doubt they would allow PP again either. I can't help but think they realized that getting a PP was starting to look far more attractive with the continued downgrades we've been seeing (location losses and so on). I was considering PP until DL dropped it.
