same itin. two sets of seats?

If this has been discussed I missed it and apologies.

I booked a flight in December, finally using Delta web page. AZO-PBI and a return three days later. Delta web site would not allow me to pull exit row seats, or much of anything. I call. Well the flight is still on NW metal and I was told to go to NWA site. Did so. Still could not get out bound (AZO-PBI) exit row seats as they are blocked by the 24 hour thing where you can buy or, I guess, I can wait until exactly 24 hours and take a shot at the exit row aisle for free ( as GM), but I digress. I pull a bulkhead (mind you I am hoping for an upgrade on an L fare, but given dilution issues of late and the destination it probably will not happen). Homeward bound (PBI -AZO) I have exit row aisle on A-320 NW metal. Of course tonka jets too and from DTW-AZO so that is what is, knees up by chin, 17 year old pilot.:-)

However, today I checked the itin. and noted that Delta has me in totally different seats from the NWA site. Which one do I get? Delta or NWA? Delta seats suck, NWA at least gave me pretty much what I wanted. What a mess. Why is IT having so much trouble? I understand there is a transition period and I am most willing to put up with this for a period (that is about up as far as I am concerned) and this forum makes clear that the Delta web site is really not that good at all. Heck NWA's web page was really easy.

Well, does anyone know which set of seats do I have: or should I expect to have???

I would call and confirm the seat assignment with the airline operating the flight. I think it would have the correct info.
Most certainly agree that the IT problems are irritating, and that's stating it mildly.

If Northwest Metal, then use nwa.com to select seats, what Delta shows will most likely be incorrect as you are currently seeing on your reservation. If it it Delta metal, then either website will show the correct seats, but you should still select them on Delta.com.

As for your exit row problem, wait until 24 hours before your AZO-DTW flight and you will be able to select them at no charge, otherwise, 5A, 5C, 5D, or 5F on the A319/A320 aircraft are just as good if not better seats than the exit rows anyways.

Not to start a flamewar here, but I really think the problem isn't DL.com or NWA.com being better or worse than the other, but what you are used to. I've been a DL medallion for six years, and I rather like DL.com. Booked a flight on NWA.com last week (lower fare) and I thought the UI was terribly unintuitive and had some problems with it using my old NWA number even though I punched in my SkyMiles number. C'est la vie, and an integration of this size is the last thing I would ever volunteer for, but I think the NWA>DL site myth is just that.
