Yeah, and to think that we live in a time with such a vibrant micro and craft brewing culture; heck, I had to decide between Bell's Octoberfest and New Glarus Staghorn Octoberfest tonight at the store. I love America, but I really gotta wonder about my fellow countrymen sometimes.

Kermit: I took the liberty of ordering us some wine. oh waiter!
<snip>
Miss Piggy: hmmm - you mad impetuous thing, it's Champagne!
Steve Martin (as The Waiter) Not exactly - Sparkling muscatel - one of the finest wines of Idaho!
Kermit: Well, you may serve us now please.
<snip>
Steve Martin: Don't you want to smell the bottlecap?
<snip>
Kermit: Would you taste it for us please?
(Steve Martin tastes it and spits it out in disgust)
Steve Martin: Excellent choice.
Kermit: Should be for 95 cents.

As far as the cocktails go, I loved it when Delta had different signature cocktails every month...and I've let them know that. I hope they keep rotating some because offering the same ones every month gets boring.
One small benefit - this will help keep alcohol excise taxes in the U.S. treasury: ALL excise taxes on rum sold in the U.S. are split between the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. (This goes back to the Caribbean Basin Initiative quite a few years ago.) All of the other alcohol excise taxes stay in the Federal treasury.

Looks like the near-beer selection has arrived at DL
While I was able to score a Sunset Wheat on one commuter flight last week, it looks like the Corona et al have arrived on DL flights.
Perhaps the visionary thinkers on Virginia Avenue concluded they could save on jet fuel by only stocking lite bears on flights.

good riddence, was very happy to see this drink gone, since it had such an artificial taste and not the light taste and drink....the Pom drink isn't bad...prefer my regular cocktails...there's this specific taste about the mix that I don't like...

NW has already had screw top wines. It meant nothing to me but the F/A apologized as she was pouring it. I later commented on how I liked it much better than the previous month/cycle's red selection. She stated that she had that comment a lot and was glad cuz the screw bottle is so much easier to open/work with on a flight.
She must've thot I really liked it. When I turned down a last re-fill offer on descent, she gave me the bottle which was a new one and only had a couple of glasses poured from it Another plus for screw tops: easier to "gift" the left-overs

I'll miss the Mojito, but I also like the thot of rotating the selections. The Mojito is a perfect, light summertime beverage. Perhaps the Pom will be a little "heavier" for a winter selection, with Mojito coming back in spring ??
I do agree that the loss of some type of a "craft" beer will be a loss. The thing I like most about the Signature drinks is they offer something I typically would not have at home or order while out. Ditto with craft beers, something a little different than what I usually pick up at my local grocery store.
