Recent Upgrade Experience
I recently was flying from DC, Reagan to Atlanta on a Friday night and naturally assumed that as Gold, I would not get an upgrade on a busy segment on a busy night before a 3-day weekend. I get to the airport to find out I am not on the upgrade list, but the lady at the SkyClub puts me on the wait list and tells me I am #12. I get to the gate only to find out that I was upgraded. Any thoughts on how this happened?

Programs: Now just a lowly DL PM/1MM. This industry needs some competition. It's just not enjoyable anymore.

Well, I'm guessing the SC lady couldn't process the upgrade since it was under the 3 hour gate control. Perhaps due to irrops or others above you on the list changing/missing the flight you scored the upgrade. Well done.
