Caribbean flights to Cuba
Hey all,
I live in American but am an Italian citizen and am wondering from what Caribbean cities can I fly to HAV from? Also what are the best sites for locating these flights. I imagine Nassau and a few Dominican cities have flights to HAV. Please let me know any information. Thanks.

There are plenty of options;
Cancun (or Mexico) with Aeromexico, daily.
Panama City with Copa, daily.
Grand Cayman with Cayman Airways, not every day.
BahamasAir from Nassau is doable but they have only a few flights a week and may be difficult with the connections unless you want to stay in Nassau.
Lacsa (Taca) has a weekly(?) flight from San Jose, Costa Rica.
Nassau and Santo Domingo (Dominican rep.) is also doable if you don't mind flying Cubana. Cubana does these flights a few times a week so similar problems to BahamasAir.
I think the choice depends where else you want to travel and if the non-daily options work for you. The flights from Grand Cayman are probably the easiers for caribbean but if you include central america, both Cancun and Panama are very easy and convenient as well.

I was in the G concourse of MIA earlier this week, and did a double-take by one of the Continental Connection gates. It showed one of their flights flying to Havana - is that possible???

On Wednesday morning this week the MIA departure boards listed no fewer than 3 flights to Havana, a flight to Santiago de Cuba, and another flight to Cienfuegos! Continental Connection, American Eagle and an outfit called SkyKing or something like that. ^

They're charters for people with OFAC authorization.

Does anyone know of any carrier that will allow you to book online for itineraries to Havana? It seems like every single carrier (Mexicana, Aeromexico, Taca, Air Jamaica, etc...) won't allow you to book flights even though they aren't originating in the US. I was just trying to price out CUN-HAV, KIN-HAV, SJO-HAV, but none can be booked online.
