agent recommendations

Can anyone recommend an agent who can arrange a private Cuba trip that meets the requirements for legal travel for Americans. We actually prefer doing cultural/enriching things from sunrise to sunset so that won't be a problem. We just want to be able to pick what those things are and go without a group. We're Florida based and this would be a quick weekend trip. Thanks in advance.

I know that Insight Cuba designs custom tours for groups. Would they for you? I don't know. You don't say how many people are included in "we."

In any case, whoever arranges this would probably present you with a list of approved activities and you would choose from them. A trip to the beach or an afternoon of shopping would not be approved.

Thanks. I'll check with insight. Sorry for the confusion. It would just be me and wife.

A trip to the beach and some shopping are things we NEVER do on vacation so there's not a problem there. We go other places to experience culture and people, and neither one us likes to "relax".

Do post back what you find out. I know that Insight works with organizations who want to arrange conferences in Cuba or businesses who want to arrange incentive travel, making sure that all the requirements are met for the American participants. I'm not sure what they would do when the group size is two. It's sure worth asking.

I finally heard back from insight, and it doesn't seem like they are interested in planning for an individual. Their email said that such a small group would be cost prohibitive and they'd recommend joining one of their prearranged group tours. I did reply to let them know cost isn't a concern and I'm not under any circumstances interested in group tours. I'll let you know if I get a reply out of them.
