Frequent Cruiser Programs
Does anyone know if the cruise lines match levels in Frequent Cruiser porgrams? For example if you are Diamond on RCCL and are changing your cruise direction to Princess, will Princess provide you with the same level as you have on RCCL if you give them your business? If they do what is the process? Thanks

For the most part the answer is no. Here are the exceptions:
If you are an elite member in either Celebrity or Royal Caribbean's program, the benefits carryover when you sail with the other line, but you will not receive credit in your "home" account for the cruise. Let me give you this example, you are a Platinum member in Royal Caribbean's Crown and Anchor program, and you decide to try Celebrity. When you get on board, your cruise card will show you as Select, and you will receive the benefits that a Celebrity Select member receives. You will then be credited with a Celebrity sailing, not a Royal Caribbean one. Note that you MUST have your travel arranger liase with the line to make sure that you get the proper benefits.
If you have sailed any of Carnival Corporations lines, you are considered a repeat passenger for all of their lines. So if you have sailed on Carnival, you can get a past passenger rate on Cunard.

Interesting...I knew of the RCL/Celebrity reciprocity, but did not know of the Carnival Corporation policy you mentioned. Very good to know - thanks!

Carnival Corp.'s policy only gets you a past passenger rate, nothing else. I'm top tier on Princess and all of the bennies (comped laundry, canapes, priority tendering, etc.) don't go over to Carnival. Part of the reason for this, I think, is that Carnival's loyalty program is not tiered...nor would it be given the Arison family's original desire for egalitarianism in cruising. Carnival was originally started as "cruising for the masses" and it has not strayed from that.
