Partial Intinery for pro rated price

The only cruise I have been was about 20 years ago on Princess thr the Alaska passage for three days of a seven day cruise. The cruise line only charged a pro rated part of the seven day price.

Do any of the cruise lines still offer partial cruises for a pro rated price?

Some do, particularly when you do a segment of a world cruise. It varies by line, although I don't think that the price is pro-rated exactly.

Not being a cruise expert, I can still say with some confidence that in addition to world cruises, "repositioning" cruises can lend themselves to partial itineraries. I.e., some ships ply a certain area of the world during one season, and a different area during another season. Possible example: Alaska during the summer and the Caribbean during the winter. The voyage between these two areas is a repositioning cruise.

It would totally depend on the cruise, market, etc.

Most regular cruises would not as there isn't going to be somebody taking your space, but some of the ones that are built of different segments may allow for breakingit down a bit.
