I never bother taking my own cord with me. After boarding the cruise, I just call and have them send up an extension cord. Never had a problem

Closing this one out, as I just got back from the cruise, to say that they did not seem concerned when they scanned the bags for embarkation on to the ship with any electronics they found. I tried not to leave anything actually charging on the desk while the steward would come in to clean the room, just in case he had a problem with that.
