Cruising To Belize

My family is cruising to the Western Caribbean with a stop in Belize City. We are interest in the cave tubing and zip line for Belize port. Has any one booked this excursion with actionboysbelize.com ? How was it?

While I've done zip lining on a HAL shore excursion in Jan. it wasn't with this company. Cruise Critic is likely the better resource for detail shore ex. queries, at least IMHO.

I wonder if Belize is ever going to finish that pier they started building 5 or so years ago. One of the biggest complaints there is the long tender ride.

I thought the long tender ride was to protect the coral reefs, with the ships anchored way out so as not to destroy the growths. I never minded the tender ride, myself.

You can see in the map the U-shaped causeway where the new cruise ship center is supposed to go, beside the current cargo pier (which is too small for cruise ships, and can only handle one ship at a time, so is needed for cargo). There is a channel through the reef, and if you scroll out, you can see where the ships are at anchor about 5 miles off shore, and then to the east of them is the reef.

Some conceptual drawings are at http://belizecruiseterminal.com/
