Naked Cruising is the latest trend, says ABTA

http://www.travelweekly.co.uk/Articl...says-abta.html

Naked cruising is among one of the emerging trends predicted for 2010, according to ABTA’s Travel Trends Report released today.

Targeting the naturist community will be one way of opening up the sector to new markets, said the report. "Naked cruising has been tipped to sweep the sector, as cruise companies continue in their efforts to attract new cruisers," it said.

Sounds fun, but I think I'll stick with flying in the nude...

Hmm. I like cruising.

If that comes to part of my ship that'll be good.

Come to think of it, maybe not that good. Some of the people I've seen on the cruise (those that really pig out), might not be such a good sight.

I was thinking the same thing. But... To each their own...

Carnival used to have the funnel deck that is clothing optional. But no more.

On our RC cruise around the Med in 2003 our dining room server told us that the next cruise sailing was a gay cruise (which helped explained the extraordinarily high number of gay couples at all the tourist spots on our departure day) and then the next one was a nude cruise. Everyone at my table was surprised about it, and had lots of questions for the server. He said they had to put down clear plastic slipcovers on the chairs and upholstered furniture and avert their eyes as much as they could.

No thanks.

I discovered long ago that there is an inverse relationship between those I would most like to see in the nude and those likely to appear in the nude.

Especially if there is a nearly unlimited supply of food around.

Given the generally large number of cruisers who, like me, are 50+, I think I will pass.
