Flying around the world -backpacking
Hello
,we would like to get a credit card with airmiles/aeroplan/avion to purchase tickets from many different airlines from all over the world.Our plan is to buy plane tickets in different countries with the card and when we have enough points get a free flight now and then.we r canadian residents.any more info i can supply.thanks in advance

so here i was thinking this would be the place to ask my question above.somebody out there must have some information that could help me.sure i could go to the bank web pages ,however what i would like is to hear from people that have experience and knowledge not the blah blah from the banks who just want to sign me up.i hope i am not sounding like an old nag in this post.thanks.

do u fly a particular alliance? where do u normally collect your airmiles, etc?
those are needed to give a meaningful answer.
in general, the best is to have some sort of status with an airline, and it allows many benefits.
one can travel in many region in the world via discount airline already, and the tickets are quite cheap. the hardest part is to cross over the continents. but if u are a frugal traveler, it is very DIFFICULT to get enough points from credit cards for your travel since traveling now is so cheap.
