Change of address - what to do with credit report?

I moved a few weeks ago. Do I need to contact each of the credit reporting agencies to update my files? Or does this automatically get done based on my US postal service address change form?

I believe it generally gets done as you update your address with your creditors...

I don't think the USPS change has any impact on your credit location.

Correct -- but giving the USPS a permanent change order does allow you to get a lot of junk mail! (I THINK the USPS sells those records).

To the OP -- as your creditors get your new address, it will change. If you are the type to monitor your credit report every week/month, expect it to flip between your new and old address, as some creditors are slower to report the new address.
